The Certificate in Church planting incorporates expertise in the field of Church planting from a compilation of three faculty members that have had extensive experience in the international and domestic church planting. This certificate does not aim to outline a single structure for church planting but rather seeks to bring a biblical understanding for the theory of church planting as well as different methodologies associated with the topic.
The outcome of taking this Certificate will be to further equip the individuals that are sensing the Lords leading into the apostolic ministry of Church Planting. The student will come away with a greater understanding of Church Planting as it pertains to biblical examples such as those found in the book of Acts. The student will also come away with an understanding in the vision and methods of church planting as well as the knowledge base needed to execute these methods and vision.
The certificate in Church Planting is designed to take less than two years for a student to complete. If a student is enrolled full time (9 credits per module) they will finish the program in six months. There is no sequence or order to the course enrollment. Students can take the required courses in any order.
The Program is made up of 8 courses. The courses taken in the Certificate Program can be applied toward a Bachelor’s Degree.
Four of these courses are taught by Peyton Jones of New Breed Church Planting, two courses are taught by Kevin Fitzgerald from Fit for the Field, and two courses are taught by Daniel Fusco of Calvary Church Planting Network.
