Certificate of Christian Education

Overview

The Certificate of Christian Education is designed to prepare prospective and current Christian educators to teach from a distinctly Christian approach. This program will give you a strong foundation for entering the Education field. This certificate may be applied toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education at CCU.

Outcomes

The outcome of taking this Certificate program will be to gain a strong foundation in the education process for entering the classroom as an educator. The student will come away with a greater understanding in using a variety of teaching techniques and methods, using technology in the classroom, the importance of classroom management, and the philosophy of Christian Education. The student will also walk away with an understanding and ability to discuss the current issues we face in the education system as well as dealing with interpersonal relationships in education.

Program Structure

This course would benefit students who would like to become pastors, youth leaders, and ministry leaders. The courses taken in the Certificate Program can be applied toward a Bachelors’s Degree.

Program Structure

The certificate in Christian Education is designed to take less than two years for as student to complete. If a student is enrolled full time (9 credits per module) they will finish the program in 6 months. There is no sequence or order to the course enrollment. Students can take the required courses in any order.
