Overview
The Associate of Arts in Christian Education Degree is designed to prepare prospective and current Christian educators to teach from a distinctly Christian approach. This program will give you a stronger foundation for entering the Education field. This certificate may be applied toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education at CCU.
Outcomes
The outcome of taking this degree program will be to gain a stronger foundation in the education process for entering the classroom as an educator. The student will come away with a greater understanding in using a variety of teaching techniques and methods, using technology in the classroom, the importance of classroom management, and the philosophy of Christian Education, and a better understanding and ability to discuss the current issues we face in the education system as well as dealing with interpersonal relationships in education.
Program Structure
The Associates of Arts in Christian Education degree is a two year program. A Recommended Course Sequence has been designed, but the students may take the courses in any order
Admissions Requirements
- Students in the following categories are ready to apply for this Associate of Liberal Arts degree:
- Students who have graduated from high school, or earned a G.E.D. (General Education Development) Certificate or High School Proficiency Examination Certificate;
- Home-schooled students who are ready to take college courses;
- Students who have served in the armed forces;
- Students who wish to transfer from another college or university; or even current high school students.
Graduation Requirements
Pending the completion of 60 units (30 of which must be completed at CCU) and an earned GPA of 2.0 or higher all students who enter this degree program will graduate.
