Welcome From the President

Welcome to Calvary Chapel University (CCU)! We are thrilled YOU are here! We have been praying for you and are here to serve you and your family. CCU is a very special place!  Please allow me to share some of my favorite things about CCU.
First, CCU is a place that was birthed after months of prayer in 2005. CCU is designed by the Lord to be a Spirit-led place for you and others to come together in a DISTINCTIVELY CHRISTIAN environment to discover and grow in your God-given gifts and calling. Second, as CCU students discover and develop your God-given giftings there is a robust and friendly faculty and staff ready and excited to help guide, nurture and support you through your journey of faith at CCU. In fact our desire is to be “a helper of your joy!”

In addition, CCU has a wonderful vision from God. We have seen the Lord grow CCU to record levels of enrollment in each of the past two semesters. Our online colleges have expanded from the original Teachers College to now include our outstanding College of Biblical Studies. Significantly, we have also added our first ever campus here in the United States in Head Waters, Virginia. The Head Waters campus can accommodate approximately 24 students in a duplex for women  (with a Jacuzzi tub and walk in closet!) and a more traditional dorm style residence for men , (sorry guys!). The campus is 240 acres totally debt free with a 90 bed lodge, high and low elements ropes course, climbing wall, frisbee golf course, archery range and miles of wilderness trails and fun! Students attending our Head Waters campus will be taking all their classes online for one fee that is strictly tuition.  In addition, and for only $750 a month for room and board will also have the added benefit of serving on a volunteer basis daily, while immediately making practical application of your learning, in the youth ministry in areas such as administration, finance, food management, outdoor education, grounds maintenance, landscaping and facilities management and more! It is a real hands-on educational experience!”

Finally, let me say our faculty and administrative staff are some of the most spirit-led, gracious and humble servants I have met. They are outstanding in their field of study or area of expertise and yet so approachable, kind and eager to help and serve our students, families and one another. If I could share one thing that really makes CCU special it would be the Love of Jesus. So our hope and prayer is the Lord may allow CCU to be the answer to your prayers.

Welcome to CCU, truly a special “moment in time!”
Blessings,
Chapin
